Structure of CRD

  1. Members of CRD Association (credit guarantee corporations and financial institutions) provide CRD with financial/non-financial data and default information on SMEs with whom members have relationships (the names of the SMEs are encoded so that they cannot be specified).
  2. CRD returns to members a variety of services by utilizing the accumulated data.

Definition of defaulter:

  1. A borrower past due more than three months
  2. A virtually bankrupt borrower
  3. A bankrupt borrower
  4. A borrower for which credit guarantee corporations subrogated
Starting in April 2003, two types of default information have been newly collected.

(1) A substandard borrower (special supervision)
(2) A possibly bankrupt borrower
